More Testimonials:
“The Camp was amazing. From the moment we arrived throughout our two days until after - there was an amazing feeling of camaraderie and support. I was fortunate enough to be in a group of 6 amazing women - all at relatively the same level who were really looking to kick it up a notch. Each of us had our motivations - some wanted to keep up with their significant others, some just really wanted to rip but immediately, from the first run down until the last jump in psychedelic rocks, the group was supportive and encouraging. We each had our challenges but very quickly the group learned how to help each individual overcome their challenges. Women are perfectionists and when it comes to things like jump rocks/cliffs, skiing faster and steeper you need that support network to "get out of your own head" and realize that you can do this and do it well. It might take a couple times, but you will get it. Carrie-Jo is awesome. She has this incredible ability to give constructive criticism, while still making you feel as though you are a rock-star. We all came to camp with our challenges and weak points that we wanted to work on, and she definitely reminded us of them but she also helped us figure out how to overcome these challenges and never made us feel bad about ourselves. She worked and adapted her teaching style to meet our learning styles - this is not an easy task and I was incredibly impressed by her. It can be intimidating - to be coached by some of the best skiers in the world - but Carrie-Jo makes you feel like she is just another one of the girls. Laughing with us, sharing stories and truly becoming a friend. She just happens to be a friend who can rip better than most others. Which is a very cool thing.” Libby Waldo

My overall evaluation of the camp is so positive. I'm going to try to not use the words "amazing", "incredible" and "inspiring" so many times that it gets annoying, but I'm having a hard time thinking of any other words right now. I am also thankful that it is just women. I ski with dudes all the time and although they are faster and more risk taking than I am which makes me improve on some levels, being surrounded by girls who want to be awesome skiers takes it to a different level. It's inspiring to see another woman who's skiing ability is similar to mine, make the decision to launch off something. To me, it isn't necessarily a competitive feeling of "if she's doing it then I better do it" that I get when I see that, but more of a "if she can do that, then I can do that" which results in me pushing past my comfort zone somewhat and improving my skiing. My experiences both years that I've done the camp have been really amazing...I've come away with new skills, new confidence, and an incredible feeling of happiness at being around such cool girls all weekend.” -Tanya Barb
“Down to earth women everywhere. The camp was great. All the instructors and volunteers really were fantastic people. They were "rippin' but very real. I think most of the women who were there were there for the same goals no matter what group. everyone seemed to be out to have fun, enjoy and get better which was great. No competitions or weird energy. The camp was also organized, very well run. I thought it was great to have everyone get in a circle the second day and share what they had learned. That was actually where I heard a the terms that helped me get my form in line, "stacked and zipper down the hill." We had been trying other sayings and ways to try and visualize this with our group the day before but it was important to hear the other ideas. Also, no doubt about it the free schwag was great, and unexpected. thank you.” Lynette Zavodny.
“I really enjoyed the camp. Shelly was a great instructor. I liked that she was willing to do anything with us (trees, little air, steep, etc) and kept it fun. The size of the groups was good as well and made for a good instructor/student ratio. When Shelly video taped us the feedback was very helpful. I think people have different learning styles and being able to see myself ski actually let me visualize what she had been telling me throughout the clinic.” Laurie Galbreath
“This was my second year at camp. I will come back every year! It is an amazing experience to ski with a such a talented group of women. I was inspired by the energy of our guide and the entire group - everyone was so encouraging and it felt great to be a part of it. I left with new friends and feeling much more confident with my skiing.Carrie Jo was an amazing instructor and always had great tips and visuals to help with our technique. She pushed us to the next level in a way that we all felt confident. Amy Temkin
