Alison Gannett is World Champion Extreme Skier, Ski Film Star, Green All-Star, Keto Diet Coach, and founder of multiple non-profits including Cooking to Conquer Cancer. As a climate change consultant wanting to walk the talk, she and her husband grow and raise all their own food on Holy Terror Farm in Paonia, Colorado. Diagnosed with “terminal” and highly malignant brain cancer in 2013, she chose to partner with Dr. Nasha Winters and OptimalTerrainConsulting.com to conquer her cancer. Together they embarked on the Ketogenic diet to starve her cancer and boost the mitochondria of her healthy cells, with special help from her own FARM-acy. Today, three years later, not only is she alive, but thriving as her scans show no cancering processes at all. An added benefit has been the complete reversal /elimination of her polycystic ovary syndrome, Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, breast fibroids, joint pain/arthritis and seasonal allergies. Her blood work shows massive reductions in her inflammation markers- including blood sugar/diabetes, heart disease, autoimmune disorders, liver, lungs, blood and kidneys. Alison is now a certified with the Integrative Cancer Advocacy Network (ICAN) and helps others to conquer or prevent cancer.
Alison is available for personalized health coaching – whether you are working to prevent cancer or conquer cancer. Her specialization is ketogenic diet coaching, but she believes that every person is different and that diets must correspond and be tracked with measurable tools so you can track your progress or see when changes are needed.
Initial consult is usually $300. Included: analysis of typical daily diet or prescribed diet, including your ratios and amounts of macro nutrients, with an consideration of antioxidant micronutrients. Most clients are looking to take their current diet and elevate it to one that has much higher levels of therapeutic ketosis, but other goals can also be achieved. Firstly you will request an appointment via email. Once you have succured a time slot, you will receive an invoice via paypal, a liability to sign, and a request for your sample daily diet.
Once all forms are signed, food data is submitted, and your goals are outlined, we will have our one-hour phone appointment. Depending on what outcome you are requiring, diet recommendations will be made achieve your new goals, while outlining how to monitor and test your progress. After the consult on the telephone, clients are allowed unlimited email questions for for one week to clarify that they are on track. Follow up labs testing with your doctors are suggested for monitoring of sugars, inflammation markers, etc.
For measurable results, it is suggested that you obtain either the Ketonix.com breath monitor or a blood glucose monitor. The ketonix can not only measure your daily progress, but will enable testing of each and every food right when you eat it, therefore HIGHLY suggested. Also suggested is a blood ketone tester, which will be implemented after blood glucose is steady and stable. Urine strips are not acceptable. Implementing a ketogenic lifestyle without testing is not suggested or recommended, as every person reacts differently to each food/supplement.

If needed, follow up consults are $100 hour. This often includes revisiting your diet plan and your testing for glucose and ketones. The goal for the follow up is to make sure blood glucose are low, acetone levels are high, and ketone levels are also high. At this point, you will learn how to do an in depth analysis of your GLUCOSE KETONE INDEX or GKI. The zone of metabolic management is likely entered with GKI values between 1 and 2 for humans. Optimal management is predicted for values approaching 1.0. This will allow individuals to connect their dietary intake to changes in their GKI. Further studies will be needed to establish the validity of the predicted zone of management, but initial studies show this tool to be a valuable measurement.
