Skills Camps are taught in a park-like setting, and are great for those wanting to build confidence and skills without the fear and intimidation of a trail. Skills camps are great for beginners to advanced intermediates, with at least 2-3 separate levels at each camp. Skills camps are perfect if you are just beginning to mountain bike or for those advancing their upper level skills such as jumps, log piles and bridges. Singletrack camps and Downhill Camps are held on trails, with many stops to “session” all the yucky stuff more safely – ledges, uphills, downhills, switchbacks, roots, rocks and logs. Most gals love taking a skills camp then a singletrack camp in progression. Beginners and less experienced riders should take a skills camp prior to a singletrack camp, when possible, for the highest skill retention. Most gals sign up for both a skills camp and a singletrack camp, as this enables the most rapid learning, more solid muscle memory, and integration of skills and confidence from park to trail.
